Cresson Hub
Cresson makes a great base for exploring the feats of engineering used to make the Main Line Canal and later, the railroad possible. Nearby, the Allegheny Portage Railroad shuttled Main Line Canal passengers and freight across the Allegheny Mountains. In the 1850's, the Pennsylvania Railroad built the Horseshoe Curve and Gallitzin Tunnels, still used today to bridge the Allegheny Ridge.

Hollidaysburg Hub
This hub community was a key stop on the Main Line Canal and center of transportation in the region. Now, Hollidaysburg's Canal Basin Park and the nearby Lower Trail with its canal remnants are some of the best places along the Greenway Corridor to experience the Canal's history and legacy.
